Job description

Role Summary
This entry-level project management position involves supporting internal engineering operations initiatives within a fast-paced technical environment. The role requires collaborating closely with software engineers, systems architects, and operations leads to streamline project activities, eliminate obstacles, and ensure project momentum across multiple initiatives. The focus is on coordinating, tracking, and facilitating key engineering projects to enhance operational efficiency and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end internal engineering projects, including tooling enhancements, platform migrations, process automation, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Maintain detailed project plans, timelines, RAID logs, and status reports to provide visibility for stakeholders.
  • Facilitate sprint ceremonies, project kickoffs, and recurring status meetings, capturing decisions, action items, and follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with engineering leads to define project scope, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria.
  • Monitor dependencies across teams and proactively identify and escalate risks or blockers to senior project managers and leadership.
  • Assist with resource allocation and coordination across engineering teams, managing competing priorities effectively.
  • Support intake and prioritization processes for new engineering requests and initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date project documentation within platforms such as Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow.
  • Contribute to process improvement efforts by identifying operational gaps and recommending solutions within engineering support functions.
  • Help track and report project progress to facilitate seamless communication among technical teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1โ€“2 years of experience in project coordination, technical project management, or engineering operations support.
  • Comfortable working in a technical environment alongside software and systems engineering teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project or issue-tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet.

Publishing Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00 USD Hourly
