Qualifications:

  • Experienced in the use of GPS/GNSS devices, Total Stations, 3D Scanners, Data Collectors, etc.
  • Proficiency in computer aided drafting (CAD) and/or geographic information systems (GIS) applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of the principles, techniques and practices of land surveying and/or civil engineering.
  • Ability to work long hours outdoors under various field conditions and/or ability to work indoors for prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • P.S., P.E., S.I., E.I., or similar certifications are a significant plus!
     

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Efficient operation of the field crew using standard operating procedures.
  • Operating field equipment such as total station, GPS/GNSS receiver, level, drone, scanner, data collector, etc.
  • Operating office equipment and software, including files transfers from equipment to computer, CAD and/or GIS software, etc.
  • Survey research, calculations, analysis, mapping development, legal descriptions, final review/checking, etc.
  • Take detailed notes and diagrams, take comprehensive photographs, cut brush, dig holes, set pins, drive stakes, etc.
  • Maintain company equipment and survey vehicles.
