We are seeking a skilled Millwork Drafting Engineer to join our Kingston, PA studio.
The Drafting Engineer supports custom millwork projects from concept through production. This role is responsible for creating highly accurate shop drawings, engineered details, and production documentation based on architectural plans and specifications.
You will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Estimators, Production, and Installation teams to ensure fabrication feasibility, field coordination, and alignment with design intent.
Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed, dimensionally accurate shop drawings using AutoCAD
  • Interpret architectural plans, elevations, and specifications for:
    • Custom millwork: Cabinetry, Furniture, Fixtures
  • Engineer complex assemblies, hardware integrations, and structural supports
  • Coordinate with production and field teams for fabrication feasibility
  • Revise drawings based on redlines, RFIs, and change orders
  • Maintain CAD libraries and standardized drawing templates
  • Ensure compliance with ADA, building codes, and project specifications
  • Support CNC-ready documentation and manufacturing workflows
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of drafting/engineering experience in:
    • Custom millwork
    • Cabinetry manufacturing
    • Furniture or architectural fabrication
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • AutoCAD
    • One or more of: SolidWorks, PlanGrid, Bluebeam
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
  • Knowledge of woodworking joinery, hardware systems, and material tolerances
  • Strong organization and version control skills
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or shop environment preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • LEED documentation experience / Familiarity with FSC-certified materials
  • Engineering Technology, Drafting, or Architecture degree/certification
