Overview

MSA has an opportunity for a Graduate Engineer - Electrical in our Appleton, Kiel, Mequon, or Milwaukee office locations. You will be a member of our thriving MEP team on the Buildings Service Line and make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve.

This position focuses on a variety of electrical building systems, such as power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm systems, data distribution, communication systems, and security systems. Project types can range from K-12 schools, municipal buildings, and other commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

The work you will do

  • Electrical Architectural Systems engineering responsibilities will include design, field observation, and survey activities as well as document production Revit (BIM, building information modeling).
  • Heavy emphasis placed on building energy management and sustainable design principles.
  • Working alongside senior engineering staff, assist with bidding and construction administration, and site observation of work performed.
Qualifications

What you bringSkills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree required, or anticipated in the coming months
  • A valid driver's license required
  • EIT and desire to obtain PE preferred 
  • Previous related engineering intern or co-op experience preferred
  • Prior experience in the MEP field preferred
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • Revit and Auto CAD coursework and/or experience would be a plus
  • A desire to learn more about MEP projects in a consulting industry
  • This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position.
