Job description

REVIT CONTENT CREATOR, SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA


JOB DETAILS:

  • Rework existing Revit families to upgrade to new standards and best Revit practices.
  • Using AutoCAD linework, plant images, or hand-drawn graphics as a guide, create standardized Revitfamilies from an existing family template.
  • Maintain files in a shared office folder structure.
  • Cross-check the created Revit tree and shrub families to ensure they are accurate, current, and functioningcorrectly in the plugin.
  • With experience, potential growth into a role with the direction and expansion of the Revit contentlibrary, and in the development of future Revit tools for landscape architects.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires 6 months of work experiencein Revit content creation.


Special Requirements:
1. AutoCAD
-The ability to take existing drawings and perform cleanup steps to improve existing content to a
higher standard.
-Research and find new content that could be turned into Construction Details for others to place
into drawings.
-Organize and create new CAD block content for the use of Landscape Design.


2. SketchUp
-Ability to open and navigate through 3d files and prepare them for use in other programs.
-Basic model skills to help audit and adjust existing models to match their CAD file matches.


3. Revit
-To function within Revit and convert existing 3D models into families so they align with the
latest industry standards.
-Help collaborate with the team on what content still needs to be created.
-Provide key discussions on workflows and standards that need to be implemented into the content
standards.


4. Rhino
-Ability to open basic 3D files and convert content into native Rhino files.
-Basic model skills to help audit and adjust existing models to match their CAD file matches.
-Ability to pull from existing knowledge, and learn more about Landscape Architecture, Architectural, and interior design-focused elements for use in conversations and collaborations with other team members when generating new content for others to use.
