We are in search of a highly motivated Senior Oracle Database Engineer to support large-scale database migrations and ongoing production operations, leveraging expertise in Oracle Exadata and database administration.
Responsibilities:
• We are seeking an engineer with hands‐on Oracle Exadata platform expertise combined with strong Oracle client/application‐side experience to support large‐scale database migrations and ongoing production operations.
• Core platform skills.
• Deep experience with Oracle Exadata (on‐prem or OCI / Database@Azure), including architecture, performance characteristics, HA/DR concepts, and operational support.
• Strong Oracle Database administration skills (11g/12c/19c ), including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, patching, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
• Experience executing and supporting Oracle database migrations from VM‐based or traditional environments to Exadata, including cutover planning and validation.
• Client / application‐side expertise.
• Strong understanding of Oracle client connectivity, including JDBC/ODP.NET, OCI clients, TNS, DNS‐based redirection, and connection string behavior.
• Ability to support application teams during migrations, including connectivity validation, performance verification, and post‐migration troubleshooting.
• Experience working with enterprise applications (e.g., Pega, portal, middleware platforms) that depend on Oracle databases.
• Operational and collaboration skills.
• Ability to partner closely with DBA, infrastructure, and application teams during pre‐migration prep, migration events, and post‐cutover support.
• Experience supporting production migrations, including change management, outage coordination, and escalation handling.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and validation in enterprise environments (e.g., performance baselining, post‐migration checks).

Preferred:
• Knowledge of Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server and similar databases, Expert.
• Ability to communicate effectively with analysts, developers, tests, and project managers in both oral and written form., Advanced.
