Summary

  • 60% of the Role - Sales & Estimating for the work you sell
  • 40% of the Role - Estimating (overflow for other Sales Associates as needed)
    Essential functions
    * Keep up-to-date on the wide selection of flooring products along with the benefits and warranties provided by each
    * Provide outstanding customer service
    * Meet with clients in the showroom and build client relationships.
    * Assist customers with flooring choices (explain features/benefits, etc.)
    * Sell flooring, including installations.
    * Meet or exceed all required sales goals and metrics
    * Conduct field measurements as necessary (for work you sell and overflow as needed)
    * Read and understand construction drawings using appropriate software
    * Responsible for material take offs, create cost proposals, solicit material and vendor pricing.
    * Create Quotes and Proposals using both spreadsheet and Structure
    * Follow the timelines of producing estimates and takeoffs
    * Write proposals, sales orders, etc.
    * Work with Admin to create work orders, job schedules, etc
    * Be involved and responsible for each job and the process and help work through, and follow-up after the completion of each job
    * Visit job sites to make sure the installation process is smooth
    * Coordinate with accounting to make sure that all job payments are collected
    * Network regularly, and work effectively, with other store employees
    * Use computer database to research the availability of merchandise and to process orders
    * Follow up in a timely and professional manner with all customers on requests and/or concerns

    * Occasionally move product boxes up to 20 pounds for various needs.
