Our founders are hardcore telecommunications engineers with combined 200 + years of experience in designing, optimizing and performance engineering; for several mid - large wireless carriers internationally - that saw a need to provide low power, cost efficient sensors to collect data, create alerts, and predict needed actions. We have combined these sensors with low power, wide area (LPWA) networking technologies to provide clients various options to decrease re-occurring costs associated with operating an IoT network of sensors and connected devices.

Job Description

Provide mainframe DB2 database administration, supporting key business initiatives, using the full suite of BMC and IBM tools and utilities: create the physical data model and the data definition language for new and changed objects. Ensure the various tablespace, table, and index parameters are set properly. Install the database in test and productions environments. Update all control cards in their respective libraries and validate program (SQL) access paths are optimal using tools such as the Cogito suite, the TMON suite, Explain, and Strobe. Create ad-hoc reports utilizing various data sources - Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies - Participates in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality.ย 



Qualifications

Bachelorsย degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.ย 

Experience in the design, maintenance, and administration of relational databases. DB2 Database administration experience, experience with mission critical, OLTP applications preferred, including performance tuning, backup and recovery methods. 10+ years of mainframe DB2 experience.
