IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical, seeking Commercial Electrical Construction Estimator in Tigard, OR.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future need for employer sponsorship.

Job Summary
  • Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
  • Prepare discipline estimate by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work
  • Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
  • Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures
  • Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
  • Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to particular bid/project as assigned

Qualifications
  • One year estimating experience or equivalent combinations technical training and/or experience
  • Knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control, plus ability to interpret computerized cost data
  • Strong computer and verbal/written communication skills
  • Valid motor vehicle driver's license
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
