Job description

Logistics Clerk
PSC Group is hiring a Logistics Clerk! In this full-time, on-site role, you'll prepare shipping paperwork, assist drivers, and coordinate truck shipments with minimal supervision. If you're seeking a stable, long-term career in a growing industry, consider joining the PSC family today!
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Maintains direct contact with loading personnel and provides daily updates for truck product loading. Acts as first point of contact for any loading issues
• Coordinates assistance and self-load certification for drivers as required
• Collaborates with operations/loaders to ensure timely completion of all orders and limited demurrage, including outside of regular work hours
• Creates accurate BOLs, Weighmaster Certificates, and all other DOT required shipping documents
• Maintains accurate logs of trucks, will have to go in the field as needed
• Provides excellent communication and service with customers and carriers
• Assists carriers in resolving issues with loading/unloading and communicates to appropriate parties as necessary
• Acts with customer focus and professionalism at all times
• Provides data entry & some data analysis
• Weekly, monthly, yearly record keeping
• Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job
Job Qualifications:
• Experience using SAP preferred
• Ability to multi-task, such as answering multiple phone calls while entering computer data
• People skills, including patience to deal with customers, employees, and co-workers
• Exceptional customer service with both internal and external customers (ability to maintain professional and working relationship with customers and employees)
• Exceptional communication skills, such as the ability to effectively communicate information to relief clerk at shift turnover
• Computer literacy, including the ability to learn the computer database and understand how to receive, enter, and dispatch job orders using the database
• May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
• Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
• Speak, write, read fluent English
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
• Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday (Occasional weekend and travel requirements)
