Job Purpose

The person is responsible for developing BIM models and design documentation for the light rail project using Autodesk Civil 3D, depending on the asset type and project scope. The role covers drainage, stormwater and Wet Utilities and external infrastructure, supporting multidisciplinary coordination and compliant project delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • CAD/Technologist leading the development, refining, and progressing the 3D Drainage & Stormwater model and/or 3D Wet-utility model.
  • Generate plotready plan and profile drawings while maintaining model accuracy.
  • Will also coordinate updates with the broader design team to ensure a high level of consistency.
  • Maintain model quality, parameter consistency, worksets, file references, and shared coordinates.
  • Assist in preparing design deliverables at various project stages from concept through detailed design and construction support.
     

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering Design, Drafting, or a related discipline.
  • 4-8 years of relevant work experience
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D for
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination and BIM workflows.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on rail, metro, tramway, airport, or large infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with station buildings, depots, substations, and linear infrastructure coordination.
  • Experience in data-rich BIM environments and asset information requirements.
