A computer consultant helps companies troubleshoot problems with and identify solutions for information technology (IT) management. As a computer consultant, your job duties include evaluating computer and data network setups, identifying bugs or issues, developing and implementing solutions, and ensuring that network security is up to par. Your responsibilities may range from the initial design and setup of computer networks to providing ongoing maintenance and security.
