Job description

IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, is a recognized leader in Facilities Management and Operations in support of Defense, Intelligence, and National Security missions. Under a major Intelligence Community contract, IAP provides facility services including operations, maintenance, engineering, logistics, construction, grounds, custodial, environmental, safety, safety, access control, events, and food services. IAP is seeking a Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling Specialist.

Job Responsibilities: • Provides comprehensive Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) support for facility management, including space management, project design, and emergency management, creating and maintaining accurate 2D and 3D models and drawings while ensuring compliance with NGA standards and integrating data with the Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS), ARCHIBUS • Develops Design Intent Documents (DIDs) using CAD/BIM software • Creates and modifies 2D and 3D models and drawings for space and engineering modifications, renovations, and new construction projects • Generates and updates specialized CAD/BIM drawings and models for specific applications such as emergency management, security planning, and asset management • Conducts space and seat audits, verifying field conditions and updating CAD, BIM, and ARCHIBUS data to maintain accurate space utilization records • Maintains accuracy and integrity of Agency "GOLD MASTER" facility drawings, reflecting as-built conditions • Manages CAD/BIM configurations, ensuring compliance with NGA standards, templates, and libraries • Generates and updates facility space drawing booklets (print and electronic) for stakeholder distribution • Maintains and publishes CAD/BIM graphics and data to the IWMS-ARCHIBUS system, supporting facility management operations • Participates in CAD/BIM coordination meetings, contributing to design reviews and problem-solving • Provides CAD/BIM technical support to internal and external stakeholders, answering questions and resolving issues • Assists engineers and BOS contractors with lifecycle models and drawings • Supports Project Managers and Engineers with BIM modeling and CAD production • Develops and maintains specialized BIM models for facility management applications, including space management, emergency preparedness, and maintenance planning • Troubleshoots and resolves CAD/BIM software errors • Delivers work products within established mission timelines • Facilitates integration of CAD, BIM, and GIS data, and with ARCHIBUS Required/Desired Skills and Experience: • Proficiency in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings • Working knowledge of relevant building codes, including International Building Code (IBC), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards • Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit with experience creating and managing complex models • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, functions, pivot tables) • Experience using Revit on medium to large-scale projects, demonstrating understanding of work-sharing and model management • Experience establishing and implementing CAD/BIM best practices for individual projects • Autodesk Professional certification in at least one relevant software (Revit or AutoCAD) • Experience with Civil 3D, Navisworks Manage, SketchUp, and Esri ArcGIS. • Experience with ARCHIBUS or other IWMS platforms • Experience with data integration and interoperability between software platforms • Strong communication, collaboration, and technical training skills • Experience developing and delivering presentations • Knowledge of government regulations related to BIM and facility management Education: Bachelor's Degree and 5+ Years of experience.
