Your Day to Day as an Engineering CAD Technologist: 

You will support the Nuclear Operations Group-Lynchburg Facilities Engineering group. Facilities Engineering is responsible for the entire NOG-L physical facility, inside and outside.


Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Convert as-built conditions into new or updated drawings.
  • Construct detailed drawings from sketches and notes. These can include civil, electrical, mechanical and general facility layout.
  • Assist engineers in the conversion of drawings supporting facility infrastructure, production equipment and security systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical records as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalant and six (6) years of relvant experience or an Associates Degree in a relevant technical feild plus two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to provide proven experience in CAD software, MicroStation preferred, and CAD standards.
  • Must understand industrial/construction drawings.
  • Having some understanding of an industrial environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs.
  • SAP Plant Maintenance experience preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Must be able to prioritize and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Pay: $64,000 - $90,000

The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $64,000 and $90,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
