Summary
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Command Section Flight at the Resources Management Office.
Must be knowledgeable in the support, troubleshooting, and deployment of current Windows Workstation and Server operating systems. Requires an understanding of computer hardware, software applications, and networking principles within an enterprise environment.

Serves as a focal point in the organization for technical support specialist (a.k.a. Client Support Administrator (CSA) duties, providing computer assistance and support to 30th Force Support Squadron users. Determines the optimum way to set up new or added hardware and analyzes security requirements and directives for solutions. Considers certification and accreditation (C&A), risk analyses, and computer security (COMPUSEC) issues for equipment. Performs computer security duties. Performs initial setup and routine maintenance on computer equipment. Based on direction to do so grants or revokes said licenses. Uses existing database or spreadsheet or spreadsheet software to create enter, revise, sort or calculate, and retrieve date for reports. Processing functions require a varying number /sequence of steps and print forms, memos and letters. May be required to respond during non-duty hours, which may include nights and weekends.

  • Must be knowledgeable in the support of current Windows Workstation and Server operating systems.
  • Must be familiar with troubleshooting Windows operating systems, software applications, and hardware in a network environment.
  • Must be able to work well with others in a variety of circumstances.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Must be able to adapt to work by picking up new ideas and procedures quickly.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily obtain a Secret Clearance (T3/T3R).
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Position is a position of trust.
  • This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
