Grande Smiles Dentistry, under the esteemed leadership of Dr. Tallio and Dr. Paparone, is excited to announce the availability of a full-time position for a Dental Assistant. Located in the heart of our community, Grande Smiles Dentistry has been providing exemplary dental care and services for many years. This opportunity is not a remote job and requires the Dental Assistant to work on-site at our dynamic and patient-centric clinic. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dentists and enhancing patient care.

We are looking for a dedicated individual who is eager to advance their career in the dental field. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to maintaining high standards of care and professionalism, ensuring that every patient receives the best possible experience during their visit to Grande Smiles Dentistry.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide quality care and services to patients by assisting dentists and other staff in a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties.
  • Affect the efficiency and productivity of patient flow through timely, accurate and professional preparation of patients and patient information.
  • Take and process x-rays and perform other diagnostic tests under the direction of a dentist.
  • Ensure that all necessary tools and materials are in place for the dentist prior to every treatment or procedure.
  • Sterilize dental instruments and equipment for each patient.
  • Organize and maintain clean work areas and disinfect treatment rooms according to OSHA regulations.
  • Assist with front office tasks as needed, including patient scheduling, billing, and record-keeping.
  • Provide instructions to patients regarding postoperative care and general oral health care as directed by the dentist.
  • Participate in the assessment of the treatment planning by taking patient histories and maintaining dental records.
  • Manage supply inventory and place orders for new supplies as needed.
  • Build trusting relationships with patients by providing empathetic and considerate care during treatments.
  • Comply with all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Radiation safety certification or successful completion of a radiation safety course.
  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or completion of a dental assistant training program.
  • Strong understanding of dental procedures, terminology, and protocol.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills for using practice management software.
