Are you a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients? Boone Memorial Health is seeking caring, dependable, and motivated CNAs to join our healthcare team.
Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care and supports nursing staff by assisting patients with activities of daily living, monitoring basic health measures, and ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the CNA performs routine care procedures in accordance with hospital policies and procedures while demonstrating compassion, professionalism, and respect for patients, families, and coworkers.
Essential Functions
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will:
  • Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
  • Take and document vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
  • Assist with feeding, mobility, transfers, and ambulation
  • Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable patient environments
  • Respond promptly to patient needs and call lights
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition
  • Support nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient care
  • Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuing education opportunities
Qualifications
  • Current West Virginia CNA Certification in good standing
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
  • Basic computer skills
  • Current BLS Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and assisting with patient transfers throughout the workday. Candidates must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
