Job description

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Human Resource Administrative Assistant to join our team! This position will be part time working 30 hours a week
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs administrative duties in some or all of the following functional areas: answers, screens, and directs calls, maintains all department files and job applications, welcomes on-site visitors and assists in specific duties as it relates to recruiting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel.
    2. Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel.
    3. Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
    4. Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
    5. Provides training for new hires who are onboarding.
    6. Assist employees on the time card system, email etc.
    7. Create company badges for employees as needed.
    8. Responsible for filing employee electronic paperwork for personnel file pertaining to new hires.
    9. Audits and tracks outstanding employee certification forms and follows up with employees, files in employee file when received.
    10. Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, collating making new hire packets, etc.
    11. Will be a back up to the Recruitment team as needed.
    12. Other duties as deemed necessary in the Human Resources Department.

Education/Certification: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Equipment/Technology: Basic computer knowledge and software proficiency in MS Word and Excel, basic knowledge of HRIS systems.
Language/Communication: Effective written and oral skills. Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees.
Mathematical Skills: Basic High School math.
Mental Capabilities: Ability to organize, recognize and correct inefficiencies. Handle and prioritize multiple requests.
Interpersonal: Can remain pleasant under extreme pressure and during difficult circumstances. Ability to be cheerful, trust worthy, loyal, professional and organized.
Performance: Maintains strict confidentiality, exactness with great attention to detail, and ability to work with others. Ability to remain politically neutral. Customer service oriented.
