Summary
Perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools, and electronic and pneumatic tooling.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble and test according to blueprints, diagrams and specifications using hand tools, power tools, precision instruments and test equipment
- Read blueprints and technical orders to determine methods and sequence of assembly operations
- Examine parts for surface defects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Align, fit and assemble component parts into completed units using hand tools, power tools fixtures and templates
- Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications using precision instruments such as calipers, etc.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
- Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision
- May work at different workstations as production needs require, or shift from one station to another during the assembly processes
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Minimum High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of 6 months of hands-on assembly experience
- Experienced and familiar with electro-mechanical assembly processes and associated tools/instruments
- Must have experience reading assembly drawings/diagrams and completing work to specifications

- Must be able to work the standard 8 AM-5 PM, Monday – Friday schedule and overtime as required
- Limited travel required

- The employee will work on the manufacturing floor under fluorescent lighting.
