In the role of the Assembler you will perform the following:

Summary:

The Assembler shall be responsible for manufacturing operations. Through training in all manufacturing processes, the Assembler will produce high quality finished goods according to the SOP and in keeping with Good Manufacturing Practices. Responsibilities will also include conducting oneself professionally following all company and departmental procedures and safety guidelines.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform all assembly operations correctly, which include manual assembly through the use of fixtures, tooling, and chemicals.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstation.
  • Conform to all safe work practices, and quality standards.
  • Arrive to workstation on time at beginning of shift and from all breaks.
  • Working from work samples, work instructions, bill of materials and/or verbal instructions assemble products. Use hand tools and other assembly aid as necessary.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean work area. Assist in keeping overall warehouse stocked and orderly.
  • Becoming familiar with warehouse layout and where parts are stored.
  • Lifting heavy items is required
  • Willing to work in a very fast paced environment
  • Standing, walking and climbing of stairs is the norm.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and change tasks frequently, as required.
  • Fork lift operation, after being trained and licensed

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma required and work experience as an assembler in a manufacturing company a plus.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Great verbal/written communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Machine operation experience
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of specifications
  • Flexibility and the desire to take on additional responsibility

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
