Reporting to the Director of IMIT, the Business Central Application Specialist, serves as the primary liaison between Business Central and internal stakeholders who utilize the application. They are responsible for improving system utilization, supporting users, coordinating development efforts, and reducing reliance on external vendors to drive efficiency and scalability across Heliene. They work cross-collaboratively with departments with Heliene and other members of IT to ensure fast, accruable and reliable support.

The Business Central Application Specialist will partner with Finance, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and other business stakeholders to ensure Business Central supports scalable business processes, accurate data, and effective decision-making. This critical role will work closely with all Heliene Teams to maintain system reliability, improve adoption, resolve issues, and continuously enhance the organizationโ€™s ERP capabilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own Business Central optimization initiatives, including system configuration, process alignment, workflow improvements, and increased utilization across departments.
  • Translate business requirements into system solutions, including enhancements, reports, dashboards, integrations, and functional design specifications.
  • Coordinate and support development activities related to extensions, customizations, testing, user acceptance, release readiness, and deployment.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve data quality, strengthen process discipline, and enable scalable business processes through Business Central.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to prioritize improvements, resolve issues, and reduce reliance on outside support over time.
  • Maintain documentation, process maps, training materials, and system knowledge to support adoption, continuity, and longโ€‘term capability development.
  • Provide support with data fed into and out of Business Central via APIs from other internal systems, namely Dynamics CRM and MES Camline.
  • Provide dayโ€‘toโ€‘day user support for Business Central, responding to questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of customer service for system users.
  • Troubleshoot functional and systemโ€‘related issues, identify root causes, coordinate resolution with internal IT and external partners where needed, and communicate status back to users.
  • Work with the training department to develop and deliver Business Central training, user guides, process documentation, and other support materials to strengthen adoption and user capability.
  • Support onboarding of new users, including access coordination, basic orientation, and guidance on standard Business Central processes and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by IT Director or delegate.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, Business Administration, or a related field and three (3) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.

  • Working knowledge and experience supporting, maintaining, developing, configuring, and troubleshooting business applications and related technologies, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and integrations with other business systems including CRM, MES, APIs, MRP.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, customer service, organizational, time management, analytical, and problemโ€‘solving skills, with strong attention to detail and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Software Suite.
  • Manufacturing background is an asset.
  • Business analysis, Project Management Office, and program management experience are assets.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work onsite daily in Rogers, MN

Salary Range: $80,000 to $115,000 Annually
