Job description

Transform your passion for finance and technology into impactful solutions! As an Accounting Application Specialist, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and debug finance-related software issues for our BisTrack ERP and Microsoft Dynamics GP software. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless support and resolution of software issues. We are seeking applicants with prior bookkeeping/accounting experience, familiarity with US or Canadian financial software products, and strong problem-solving skills.

What you will be doing:

  • Investigate accounting application support cases from BisTrack customers, fully document and understand issues, and gather necessary information to resolve or escalate.
  • Carry out root cause analysis of errors in customers' business environments.
  • Liaise between support, development, and quality assurance teams as part of the larger customer support effort.
  • Understand customers' business process flow and explain how it relates to their use of the BisTrack application.
  • Manage and follow up on assigned support cases to create a remarkable experience for customers.
  • Clearly and professionally communicate case updates to customers by phone and email in a timely manner.
  • Travel to Epicor's US-based user conferences.

What you will likely bring:

  • 3+ years of applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline and/or industry knowledge/experience.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting fundamentals (including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger). US Payroll and/or Fixed Assets experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to investigate and find reconciliation issues between subledgers and General Ledgers.
  • Experience and working knowledge of software business processes such as inventory management, production processing, and purchasing management.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - English verbal and written.
  • Presentation skills and a demonstrated ability to train others.

  • Working knowledge of Epicor's Kinetic ERP and/or Microsoft Dynamics GP accounting software.
  • Experience in an ERP software support environment with high call volumes and large numbers of clients and users.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL.
  • Business experience (processes and problems) in a retail environment.
