Job Summary:
Laboratory Analysts conduct testing in accordance with established procedures using Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and under the supervision of the Study Director. Additionally, Laboratory Analysts record data concurrently, maintain traceability of samples throughout testing and notify the Study Director of any unforeseen circumstances that occur during testing.

Essential Job Functions:
Scientific/General

  • Perform testing, both GLP and non GLP; start to finish under supervision of the Study Director
  • Order supplies and media
  • Ensure testing is conducted according to approved procedures (SOP, CSS, STP, etc.)
  • Participate in the collaboration of quality events (unexpected results, deviations, etc.)
  • Assist with and review controlled documents
  • Basic computer skills

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Understand and follow applicable regulatory requirements (GMP, GLP, ISO, etc.)
  • Understand and follow company policies and procedures
  • Ensure all data is accurately and concurrently recorded
  • Notify the Study Director of any unforeseen circumstances or events that occur during testing

Professional Development

  • Complete training prior to performing procedures
  • Complete required training in a timely manner
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance, as required

Customer Service

  • Adhere to the Nelson Labs Service Standard
  • Meet or exceed sponsor expectations

Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree, or two years qualified lab experience preferred.

This job operates in a professional laboratory environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and lab equipment including but not limited to, computers, keyboards, computer mouse, telephones, photocopiers, file cabinets, microscopes, micropipettes, pipette aids and various hand
tools.
The possibility exists for exposure to biological and chemical hazards, exposure to carcinogenic compounds and other environmental aspects which may be considered unfavorable. Employees are expected to follow Biosafety and Chemical Hygiene policies, practices and procedures.
