Tax & Technology Senior Analyst

Location: Canton, MA (Hybrid)

The Finance function is responsible for providing transactional accounting services; tax, treasury, financial planning, analysis, reporting and commercial finance support to all business units and functions throughout Computershare, across all global locations.

The Tax & Technology Senior Analyst operates within this function to deliver outcomes within strict internal, regulatory and customer requirements.

The role must also work collaboratively across other global Finance teams, supporting continuous improvement and project related activity.

A role you will love

As our Senior Analyst, Tax and Technology, you will support the tax reporting process for group, and local reporting processes including the preparation of consolidated tax notes for inclusion in the group annual report. You will also support the US Federal and Canadian reporting, corporate and compliance processes, and advance tax technology initiatives and support ongoing maintenance and delivery.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare data and work with external advisors to submit the US federal and Canadian corporate tax computations and returns
  • Prepare and organize payment submissions for all U.S. and Canadian corporate tax liabilities
  • Ongoing review of tax sensitive accounts in the U.S. and Canada to support tax provision and tax compliance processes 
  • Maintain tax account reconciliations
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Assist the Global Tax team with implementing and maintaining tax technology solutions 
  • Support North America Reporting & Compliance Tax Managers with direct tax obligations 
  • Support International BEPS Pillar II processes, including the automation of global calculations 
  • Support the management of the Global tax provision software (TRCS), which includes maintaining TRCS as updates are required, tracking updates and maintenance, ensuring rollovers are completed, assisting with required changes, updates to reporting and consolidation processes

What will you bring to the role?

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and / or finance is required
  • 2-5 years experience in corporate tax matters
  • Experience with US Federal corporate tax for large corporations is a must
  • CPA is preferred.
  • Previous experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus
  • Ability to support all aspects of US Federal tax processes, procedures, systems and practices
  • Knowledge in understanding of the regulatory landscape 
  • Ability to analyze a range of internal and external data and insight from a variety of source
  • Ability to support the creation and embed systems and processes to meet new legislative requirements and to drive greater efficiencies

Compensation. The typical base pay range for this role is $75,000 - $107,500 with eligibility of a discretionary bonus. This salary is specific to Canton, MA and a direct currency conversion will not be representative of salaries in our other global locations.
