As our CAD Drafter for our Survey & Geospatial team in Tucson, you'll play a key role in supporting survey projects by producing high-quality mapping and drafting deliverables, collaborating with project surveyors, and contributing to a wide variety of infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do

As a CAD Drafter, you'll support survey teams by preparing accurate drafting deliverables, maintaining department drafting standards, and helping ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.

  • Survey Drafting & Mapping
    Prepare preliminary and final maps, Records of Survey, Corner Records, Site Plans, ALTA Surveys, 3D exhibits, and digital data files using Civil 3D, Carlson AutoCAD, and other CAD software.
  • Drawing Revisions & Project Support
    Modify survey drawings as directed by project managers and project surveyors while supporting project teams to meet schedules and deliverables.
  • Quality & Standards
    Arrange survey drawings to comply with established state, city, county, and client standards while helping maintain department drafting standards, file organization, and project naming conventions.
  • Base Mapping & Data Preparation
    Assist with creating base survey drawings from project scope and support the processing and organization of survey data and electronic files.
  • Team Collaboration
    Work closely with project surveyors and other team members to support multiple projects, prioritize assignments, and contribute to successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of professional experience utilizing CAD software
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D, Carlson AutoCAD, or similar CAD drafting platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate technical drawings
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments while working effectively in a collaborative team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of land surveying, civil engineering, architectural, structural, and geospatial terminology
  • Experience with GIS, Revit, and InRoads
  • Experience processing field survey data and electronic files
Compensation & Benefits
  • Compensation: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
  • Incentives: Discretionary performance bonus program
