Job description

NCW is hiring a CAD Designer to support the design and engineering of industrial equipment, including pumps, gear reducers, blowers, piping and skid systems. This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining CAD models, drawings, inspection reports, bills of material, and related engineering documentation.


The CAD Designer will also reverse engineer parts and assemblies using scanners and standard measuring tools, research equipment and component information, maintain engineering files, and assist with new design qualification. This role will work closely with the shop floor to provide updated drawings, models, and CNC programs and help improve existing engineering processes.


Candidates should have 2-4 years of CAD design experience, be comfortable reading machine drawings, and have experience with SolidWorks. Experience supporting a CAM/CNC shop or working with industrial equipment such as pumps, blowers, compressors, valves, or gearing is preferred. Experience with scanning equipment, PDM Vault, Global Shop ERP, and metrology tools is a plus.
