 Preferred Qualifications 

  • Two years working experiencein law enforcement dispatching
  • Louisiana POST Certification

 

 Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the policies andprocedures of the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office.
  • Maintain professionalconduct at all times.
  • Answer multiple phone linesprofessionally from a variety of sources including 911.
  • Transferring calls to thenecessary department or individual
  • Handle all radio traffic andlogging information in computer-aided dispatch (CAD), monitor GPS vehicletracking system, and deputies working off-duty details.
  • Input and receiveinformation from NCIC
  • Report all unusualoccurrences, accidents, or safety hazards to supervisors
  • Strictly adhere to policiessafeguarding confidentiality

 

 Benefits

  • The minimum hourly rate ofpay for this position is $13.61/hr   
  • Postsecondary education andLaw enforcement or Dispatch experience will be taken under consideration inrespect to the hourly rate of pay.
