About the Role:
The Tailored Closet in Houston, TX is looking for a creative and driven Closet Designer to join our team! In this role, you'll transform clients' spaces into beautifully organized, custom storage solutions that fit their lifestyle and needs. If you have a passion for design and love making people's lives more organized, this is the opportunity for you. Must love people, highly organized, structured, open availability and have a strong desire to grow as a closet designer. 
Responsibilities:
  • Consult with clients in-home or in-showroom to assess storage needs and design preferences
  • Create custom closet, garage, and home organization designs using CAD or proprietary design software
  • Present design proposals and product options to clients, guiding them through selections
  • Develop accurate project quotes and close sales to meet revenue targets
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure designs are executed to client satisfaction
  • Follow up with clients post-installation to ensure satisfaction and generate referrals
  • Stay current on product lines, design trends, and home organization solutions
  • Develope and grow social media presence and within the trade community.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in interior design, space planning, or custom storage solutions is a bonus
  • Strong sales ability with a consultative, customer-first approach and sales experience is a bonus
  • Proficiency with design or CAD software; ability to learn proprietary tools quickly
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of Excel, Outlook, PDFs, CRM systems and basic comupet skills
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for in-home consultations
  • A keen eye for aesthetics, functionality, and detail
  • must be available 9am to 6pm Monday thru Friday for client meetings, two evening appointments a week and 1 Saturday a month.
