Assistant Project Engineerย 

Responsibilities:

  1. Work with a lead project engineer to develop a comprehensive set of system drawings and project documentation for Detention Facilities.
  2. Coordinate with programmers, technicians, installers, fabrication & testing crew.
  3. Provide installation instructions for technicians and installers.
  4. Provide technical support to internal and external customers.
  5. Assist Sales and Estimating staff by providing support with system design and estimation preparation.
  6. Actively participate in professional development and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies.
  7. Comply with company policies, as well as health and safety issues.
  8. Promote a team environment.
  9. Other duties as required or assigned.

Accountability:

The Assistant Project Engineer will be accountable to the Engineering Manager.ย  Secondary accountability will be to the other management team members, employees and customers of the company.

ย 

Qualifications & Skills include:

  1. Experience or Education in Electronic Engineering Technology (EET).
  2. Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD system.
  3. Experience with Networking.
  4. Experience with Electrical construction.
  5. Experience as a Project Manager / Foreman.
  6. An understanding of Electronic Systems, such as intercommunication systems, paging systems, Access Control, Video Surveillance, HMI / PLC control systems.
  7. Experience with Microsoft Excel (beyond the basics).
  8. Experience with Bluebeam PDF editing software.
  9. Must have verbal and communication skills.
  10. Must have Organizational skills.
  11. Capable of Multitasking.
  12. Must have a strong sense of urgency.
  13. Punctuality & dependability is a must.

ย Travel:

ย Out-of-town travel is required at times, but not typically more than 2 nights at a time.

Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements:
