Position Summary
The CAD Designer is responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Works closely with engineers, operations, and project managers to ensure accurate and high-quality designs that meet project specifications and standards.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Create 2D drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD and MicroStation).
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and sketches to produce detailed drawings.
  • Collaborate with engineers and operations to revise and update drawings as needed.
  • Ensure all designs comply with company standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain drawing records, documentation, and version control.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to support project goals and deadlines.

Qualifications
  • 5 applicable years of experience of CAD design experience.
  • Must have demonstrated CAD ability, aptitude, initiative, self-direction and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The following computer experience is required: AutoCAD, MS Word; Excel.
  • Working experience and knowledge of environmental, safety, and health guidelines, policies, and procedures as they relate to regulatory compliance.
  • Good leadership, organizational, and facilitation skills.
  • On site work environment.
  • Use of computers and CAD software for extended periods.

Selected candidates must be able to complete the following physical functions including but not limited to climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and other repetitive motions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
