Job description

Job Summary

The CAD Drafter 1 will support NTS Engineering and process facilities with sustainable CAD drafting and drawing/design management activities, along with supporting engineering project needs across the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Engineers and Salesmen to develop basic engineering plans and Sales drawings.
  • Prepare drawings from rough sketches, notes, marked-up prints, written/verbal instructions with CAD, and other design software.
  • Translate existing plans into NTS formats
  • Develop new drawing methods/processes.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT.
  • Basic knowledge of all NTS equipment.
  • Proficient in researching the current state of CAD practice.
  • Basic knowledge of the OSHA and applicable state and local requirements relative to Trench and Excavation Shoring and Shielding.

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma: associate/technical degree preferred.
  2. Minimum (1) one year's experience as a CAD drafter.
