Job Description
Engineering Project Technician / Designer
T. Baker Smith is seeking talented Project Technicians and Designers with civil design experience to support our growing teams throughout Louisiana and Texas!
Your Opportunity:
  • Review, analyze and reduce raw data from field operations.
  • Prepares designs, drawings, reports, and calculations for the project.
  • Work closely with Environmental Project Managers and Project Teams to obtain project information and ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
  • Helps to Identify improvements to enhance our service to clients.
  • Collaborates on assignments as part of a team involved in the planning, organizing, and developing of projects, and maintains proper documentation and reports.
  • Assist other project teams or departments with technical, field, or other duties as needed or requested.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Drafting and Design.
  • 1-3 years of proven experience in CADD drafting/design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Carlson Survey, ArcGIS Pro software and MS Office.
  • Experience in forestry, wildlife, fisheries, botany, or similar fields is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail is a must.
  • Willingness to participate in field work occasionally for project opportunities.
