Responsibilities:

  • Prepare calculations for proposed machinery after completing technical drawings.
  • Develop sketches and designs using input from engineers and architects.
  • Calculate factors such as tolerance and dimensions.
  • Create designs in compliance with company procedures, regulations, and client standards.
  • Submit drawings to upper management and engineering teams for review.
  • Utilize customer feedback and data to upgrade, improve, or repair existing machinery.
  • Provide support during the building and installation process, ensuring proper adherence to design specifications.
  • Finalize designs and send prints to the production department.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering design role or related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks (CSWE certification is a plus),Inventor and AutoCAD.
  • Strong computer and mathematical skills.
  • Experience with weldment design is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electronics, robotics, and metals is a plus.
  • Flexible approach to work and ability to adapt to change.
  • Capable of working effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to use initiative.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on computer systems.
  • Capability to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds, such as equipment or design materials.
  • Dexterity to handle drafting tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment and occasionally visit manufacturing or construction sites.
  • Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus for detailed drawing work.
