Northrop Grumman is hiring an Engineer CAD CAM 2 to support the Mechanical & Energetics Design team in Chandler, AZ. This role focuses on 3D modeling, design validation, and engineering drawing creation using Siemens NX and Teamcenter in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.
Key Responsibilities
Northrop Grumman is hiring an Engineer CAD CAM 2 to support the Mechanical & Energetics Design team in Chandler, AZ. This role focuses on 3D modeling, design validation, and engineering drawing creation using Siemens NX and Teamcenter in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and review mechanical drawings and design packages for accuracy and compliance
- Perform 3D modeling and assembly design using Siemens NX (NX 2412)
- Generate and revise parametric drawings per ASME standards
- Conduct tolerance analysis, fit/function checks, and manufacturability reviews
- Apply and interpret GD&T to resolve drawing issues
- Validate 3D models prior to release to manufacturing
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and vendors
- Support hardware selection and assembly fitment
- Provide guidance to junior staff as needed
Required Qualifications - Experience with Siemens NX, CATIA, or similar 3D CAD tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Experience creating/reviewing engineering drawings and assemblies
- Familiarity with Teamcenter or PLM systems
- Understanding of ASME drawing standards
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications - Aerospace or defense industry experience
- Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and tolerance analysis
- Experience working with military or regulated standards
