Morningstar Living is currently hiring a full-time, Dietary Aide for our Moravian Hall Square Campus in Nazareth, PA. This opportunity is day shift, 5:30am-2:00pm, with an every other weekend requirement.

Dietary Aides perform a variety of duties including cold food production for resident meals, nourishment's, and assist in the Health and Wellness dining room. Dietary Aides are responsible for but not limited to: Cleaning equipment, utensils, etc. and his/her work area.
What will I do as a Dietary Aide?
  • Assist in the serving of breakfast tray-line for Health Care.
  • Use daily food production logs and recipes to produce menu items in correct portions and amounts.
  • Prepare salads, desserts and fruit for Health Care and Galilee dinner and supper.
  • Serve residents in cooperation with nursing staff and according to resident preferences and diet order.
  • Complete knowledge of menu and daily specials.
  • Knowledge of modified consistency dietary needs.

What do I need to be a Dietary Aide?
  • Must have the ability to interact well with elderly residents and staff.
  • Must have basic knowledge of food quality and nutrition.
  • One year previous experience with food preparation and food service preferred.
  • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks; possess a cooperative, reliable attitude.
  • Demonstrates good communication skills with staff and management.
  • Must have the ability to follow and produce necessary food items in accordance of the use of a standardized recipe.
  • Must possess basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Basic computer skills.
