The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking a motivated and compassionate Financial Aid Advisor to join our Houston Northwest campus. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in higher education and student services. What You'll Do

As a Financial Aid Advisor, you'll play an important role in helping students understand their financial aid options and confidently navigate the funding process for their education.

Responsibilities include:

  • Meet with prospective and current students to discuss financial aid options.

  • Guide students through the financial aid application and documentation process.

  • Explain financial aid awards, payment options, and available funding resources.

  • Maintain accurate student records and ensure documentation is complete.

  • Learn and apply federal, state, institutional, and accreditation guidelines related to financial aid.

  • Work collaboratively with Admissions, Student Services, and other campus departments to provide an exceptional student experience.

  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information.

  • Deliver outstanding customer service while supporting students throughout their educational journey.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to learn new systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Positive attitude with a passion for helping others succeed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Experience in customer service, banking, retail, healthcare, education, office administration, call center, or other client-facing roles.

  • Experience in higher education or financial aid is a plus but not required.
