Job Description

We are seeking an experiencedActivities Coordinator to join our team in providing engaging and enrichingactivities for our residents in an Assisted Living and Memory Care homesetting.  This position will assist withdeveloping, recruiting, managing, and scheduling community volunteers.  The Activities Coordinator will coordinatethe transportation needs of the residents and for engagement activities.  The Activities Coordinator will help aid theSales & Marketing Director in marketing efforts through tours and allmarketing events. 

The ideal candidate will have apassion for senior care and creating meaningful experiences for older adults.

Activities Coordinator Profile

        Plan, organize, and implement a variety of activities to meet thephysical, emotional, and social needs of residents

        Coordinate group activities, off-site outings, and events withinthe community

        Develop and maintain activity calendars and schedules

        Collaborate with staff to integrate activities into the overallcare plan

        Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff toensure engagement and participation

        Attends and participates in various departmental and managementmeetings as required

        Provide support for residents with dementia through specializedprogramming

        Provides written and/or oral reports of the programs andactivities as required

        Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed

Education /Training / Experience:

         Experience in a social or recreation program, preferably in anassisted living, memory care, healthcare, or CCRC activities program preferred

        Strong communication and interpersonal skills

        Detailed-oriented

        Ability to be flexible

        Knowledge of senior care best practices

        Understanding of dementia care principles

        Background in social work or related field is a plus

        Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Office, Publisher, LifeLoop

        Transportation experience is preferred, but not required
