Job Summary:
NEOGOV is part of the Madison County Commission, seeking a Computer System Administrator to perform technical work in implementing, supporting, and managing IT systems. The role involves ensuring IT services are maintained and upgraded while collaborating with departments to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities:
• Assists in design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
• Performs simple and routine administration design tasks with standard techniques.
• Assists more senior administrators in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods and reports.
• Additionally, reports to a senior administrator or manager.
• Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.
• Assist in providing and coordinating server related operations and maintenance support, including supporting a variety of operating systems (Windows 2008+, Linux, Redhat).
• Knowledge of VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology with a Cisco VoIP/UCCE environment focus and Fax over IP (FoIP) solutions.
• Uses ticketing system (ManageEngine) to track system incidents.
• Work is closely managed.
• Performs related work as required.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Graduation from a four-year college or university majoring in computer science or related field
• Considerable experience in systems and network administration
• At least five years’ experience
• A+ Certification
• Network + Certification
• Microsoft Certifications or related training
• Knowledge of VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology with a Cisco VoIP/UCCE environment focus and Fax over IP (FoIP) solutions
• Experience with VMWare / Hyper-V
• Experience with Windows Server / Clusters
• Experience with High Availability Storage Solutions (NAS/SAN)
• Experience with Operating Systems – Windows 20xx or Linux OS
• Experience with NFS filesystems
• Experience with Network Management – OSI Layer 1 to 7, TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS
• Cisco Certified Network Professional Voice (CCNP Voice)
• Recognized Industry Specific Certifications (MCSE, RHCE, VCP-DCV)
• Project Management
• Must have a valid Driver's license and be insurable by the Madison County Commission's risk underwriters
• Must be able to pass a Computer Voice Stress Analysis test, criminal background check, drug screen, and physical examination
Preferred:
• Manage Cisco Unified Communications (UC) infrastructure including CUCM, Unity Connection and Cisco IM & Presence
• Configure and maintain SIP trunks, H.323 gateways, SRST and CUBE
• Manage dial plans, route patterns, translation rules, calling search spaces, and device pools
• Administer and troubleshoot collaboration endpoints, Jabber clients, TFTP services, and user provisioning via LDAP integration
• Integrate collaboration services with Active Directory, PKI/certificate authorities, and DNS for secure authentication and service delivery
• Provide Tier III escalation support and mentor Help Desk members on UC technologies
• Cisco Collaboration CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
• Cisco Routing & Switching CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
• Cisco Collaboration CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert)
• Cisco Routing & Switching CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert)
