Job description

Compudopt is a leading national nonprofit organization that aims to provide technology access and education to under-resourced youth and their communities by bridging the digital divide. As Compudopt continues to grow, our Senior Development Manager will work closely with our Director of Corporate Philanthropy to set the fundraising and development strategy for our national organization. This role will support the development efforts at the national and site level, shape the culture across all regions for donor management and stewardship. This role is a remote position that can be based anywhere in the continental US and requires travel up to 10% of the time.

Major Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Corporate Philanthropy on designing and implementing fundraising strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive stewardship strategy aligned with the organization's mission and goals by setting targets, mapping donors' experience, and developing long-term plans for sustainability.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Corporate Philanthropy and program teams to identify opportunities for cultivation, develop an engaged donor base, and ensure proper stewardship of donors’ dollars through overseeing the grant management process.
  • Assist in the development of annual development strategic plans in partnership with other development-related roles.
  • Lead and mentor the fundraising team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of campaigns and events, which may include coordinating logistics, managing budgets, and ensuring that campaigns are engaging and effectively communicated to target audiences.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing donors while identifying and engaging potential new supporters.
  • Successfully manage the acknowledgement process and gifts in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure proper recordkeeping and budget oversight.
  • Ensure donor engagement is accurately tracked within the identified donor database.
  • Manage and respond to all messages received in the donor’s inbox in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide regular updates to donors on the impact of their support.
  • Utilize data analytics to assess fundraising performance and donor engagement.
  • Prepare regular reports for stakeholders that highlight successes, identify areas for improvement, and inform future strategies based on trends and insights.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of three years of progressive fundraising experience, including the donor relations process, grant writing, and event management.

Preferred:

  • Minimum of four years of progressive fundraising experience, including the donor relations process, grant writing, and event management.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Experience working within a nonprofit donor environment.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • History of developing and maintaining strategic partnerships, securing grants and major gifts that contribute to the increasing visibility, impact, and financial resources of an organization/organizations over time.
  • Strong understanding of foundation priorities and grant-making practices to make strategic decisions with funding requests.
  • Exceptional skills in comprehension, analysis, and technical writing, including the ability to articulate and explain complex funding and financial issues in a clear, non-technical manner.
  • Proficiency in public speaking and compellingly presenting complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, independently, and in partnership with multi-function teams.
