What you will do
The Facilities Technician: Chiller and Compressor Operator is responsible for operation and maintenance of facilities equipment including, but not limited to, building controls, fire protection systems and heating-ventilation-and air-conditioning (HVAC). Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment. Plans, coordinates, inspects, and performs maintenance and supports project management for facility related projects, including but not limited to, building remodeling and construction, equipment installation and/or placement, safety and environmental compliance, mechanical systems maintenance, and energy conservation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine Compressor and Chiller/ Tower maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify and address maintenance issues.
  • Repair and replace defective equipment, fixtures, and systems as needed.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives within the facilities.

What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in facilities management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Compressed Air Systems, Chiller Operations, Boiler Operations, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management software and basic computer skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC certification, electrical license) are a plus.

Additional Information:
  • This position may require occasional evening or weekend work.
  • Must be able to respond to emergency maintenance requests outside of normal working hours.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

$60,690.00 - $85,680.00
