Certified Pharmacy Technician - Compounding in Katy, Texas

Overview:

A compounding pharmacy is seeking a Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join its team in the Katy, TX area.

This role works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and focuses exclusively on preparing compounded medications in a clean room environment. The compounding team includes approximately six staff members across sterile and non-sterile operations. This is a hands-on position ideal for candidates looking to build specialized skills outside of a retail pharmacy setting.

Details:

  • Pay: $17-20/hour (DOE)
  • Duration: 720-hour contract (contract-to-hire)
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | 1-hour lunch
  • Dress Code: Khaki pants (business professional environment)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare compounded medications in accordance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines
  • Maintain accurate compounding logs, calculations, and batch documentation
