ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to, the following)

Accurately prepare new patient profiles

Limited designated technical and clerical tasks associated with the

preparation, labeling, and dispensing of medications.

Proficiently operate the cash register which may include opening/closing functions

Accurately/correctly utilizes the pharmacy operation's computer software system

Effectively performs and accurately records all assigned quality control activities based on established procedures/protocols

Continuously demonstrates and achieves all established customer service standards

Answers the telephone, triages to appropriate person, and takes messages

Assist in ensuring the pharmacy and related equipment are cleaned and maintained based on established policy and procedures

Strictly maintains all pharmacy established Quality Assurance activities

Maintains necessary work skills and knowledge by reviewing the literature and attending in-services, seminars,

and etc.

Follows established channels of authority and communication throughout the organization

Attends designated departmental meetings

Adherence to all policies and procedures regarding pharmacy services

Any other additional duties that are reasonably requested which include operating cash register and opening/closing pharmacy operations.

Good knowledge of retail pharmacy procedures, practices and equipment relating to operating a cash register and pharmacy clerical support job functions

Demonstrates strong customer service skills

Ability to effectively and professionally represent the company

Strong ability to positively interact with other people e.g. company customers

Some knowledge of principles and practices of pharmacy business administration

Some knowledge of functions, organizations and governing laws and regulations of pharmacy

Good analytical and problem solving skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization

Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED

Minimum of one year's experience in retail pharmacy as a pharmacy sales support/clerk/cashier position

Possess a working knowledge of basic drug terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, and drug use
