Job Responsibilities:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma and or a post-secondary education in a technical field
  • 3-5 years injection molding experience at the set-up or process engineering level
  • Relevant training/education in injection molding
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes
  • Must be able to perform tool changes and equipment set-up related to injection molding machine
  • Valid Forklift license Valid Forklift license (training will be provided and maintained if required)
  • Valid Crane license (training will be provided and maintained if required)
  • Able to maneuver large equipment molds large pierce unit and chemical drums in very tight areas
  • Able to move material from floor level to mezzanine
  • Good communication of the English language (read, write, and speak)
  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of press controls, molding parameters, tool set-up and other pieces of equipment to operate injection line as well as SPC, WHMIS and QS9000 requirements
  • Knowledge of different materials process (changing material, etc.)
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work overtime when required and willing to help out when necessary as per customer demands

DESIRABLE ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

(Optional) - Preferred but not required

  • Working experience in plastic compounding with fibre glass would be an asset
  • Familiar inline compounding (ILC) moulding machine
  • Automotive manufacturing experience

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Wages: $28 - $29 per hour
  • Follow written set-up instructions and fill out proper set-up papers
  • Inspection of press and tooling at the beginning of the shift and completion of safety checklists
  • Perform mold changes/pierce dies changeover in a timely manner according to schedule and maintain housekeeping as per Mytox standard
  • Monitor and maintain process to make quality parts
  • Maintain Visual Production Boards, monitor repeat items, assist in developing action plans to improve efficiency
  • Willing to assist in training other employees
  • Provide break relief for operators at times of need
