Temporary Compounding Operations Technician (Through Staffing Agency) Location: Winchester, Kentucky Schedule: 10 -12-Hour Shifts (Day or Night Availability Required)
Employment Type: Temporary (W2 via Third-Party Staffing Agency)
About the Role
Danimer Scientific is seeking a Temporary Compounding Operations Technician to support hands-on production activities in a regulated manufacturing environment. This position is a temporary role that will be employed and processed through a third-party staffing agency selected by Danimer Scientific. This role may have the potential to be converted to a full-time Danimer Scientific position, dependent upon individual performance, business needs, and production demand. Conversion is not guaranteed.
What You'll Do
  • Operate compounding process equipment, tanks, piping, and utilities
  • Monitor process conditions and adjust parameters as needed
  • Accurately complete batch records, logbooks, and production documentation
  • Add chemicals and additives based on calculations and process requirements
  • Operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment in accordance with safety procedures
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process or equipment issues
  • Maintain cGMP-compliant work areas and perform housekeeping duties
  • Identify, report, and act on quality or safety deviations
  • Stop production when a critical safety or quality issue is identified
  • Assist with SOP reviews and updates
  • Train new and developing operators as assigned
  • Communicate production metrics and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • On-site presence required for all scheduled shifts
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to wear required PPE and hear alarms/machinery
  • Frequent exposure to noise, fumes, airborne particles, moving equipment, and hot/cold conditions
  • Occasional work in a shared control-room office environment

Qualifications Required
High school diploma or GED
2+ years of manufacturing experience
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to work independently and follow SOPs
Basic Microsoft Office skills
PreferredForklift experience or certification
Experience with plastics materials or compounding processes
Manufacturing software or production systems experience
4-8 years of manufacturing experience
Schedule & Eligibility10 -12-Hour Shifts
Days or nights, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
Must be authorized to work in the United States
No travel required
No supervisory responsibilities
