Job description

The QM provides strategic quality leadership and implements programs to ensure proper execution of the facility's AS9100D/ISO9001 and ANSI/ESD S20.20 registered Quality Management System. The position directly manages inspection and quality support staff personnel. A successful candidate will empower the team and advance its performance and capabilities with strong analytical, technical, and organizational guidance. In addition, the QM is an integral participant for site audits and works closely with Operations and Program Managers to provide timely and thorough responses or actions to customers and suppliers. With an expanding facility and increased production volume, the QM ensures that all equipment, processes, and personnel are properly qualified and that jobs are processed to the proper military and/or customer specifications.
Job Duties:
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment
  • Maintain, enhance, and enforce the facility's AS9100D/ISO9001 and ANSI/ESD S20.20 registered QMS
  • Operation of semiconductor metrology and inspection equipment
  • Hands-on measurements, and at times processing support related to wafer level advanced packaging technologies
  • Ensure organizational support and readiness for QMS audits.
  • Lead quarterly management review meetings of the QMS; tracking performance metrics and implementing corrective actions. Ensure the division's quality philosophy and culture is throughout the facility and appropriate tracking of key performance indicators to support adherence to policies.

  • Maintain corrective action system and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain document control system, including: work instructions, internal procedures, personnel training records, tooling drawings, customer specifications, military standards, and quality records.
  • Ensure timely completion of equipment calibration and preventive maintenance.
  • Provide clear leadership quality personnel. Assign clear roles and tasks, assign accountability, devise performance metrics, and track performance.
  • Build quality into production by collaborating with manufacturing:
  • Ensure proper application of in-process quality inspection for sustained requirements compliance throughout production/
  • Implement incoming inspection of raw materials and from outsourced suppliers
  • Identify root cause of quality issues and document improvements for subsequent production runs.
  • Ensure the containment or other control of nonconforming material.
  • Lead customer interaction with regard to onsite audits, material returns, corrective actions, surveys, and compliance issues such as REACH, RoHS, and conflict metals.
  • Lead routine business meetings that drive sustained quality performance
  • Champion continuous improvement to drive efficiencies into our operational and transactional processes.

Requirements:
  • BS in engineering or physical sciences from a fully accredited institution, or equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating/programming automated optical inspection equipment.
  • Experience with advanced packaging or semiconductor processing highly preferred
  • Experience with MIL-STD-883, 750, MIL-PRF-38535/4, and related standards, highly preferred.
  • Experience within the military/aerospace industry (or other highly regulated industry), preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, process improvement, and SPC, preferred.
  • Due to export control rules, must be a US citizen.

  • Ability to understand technical drawings.
