Position Type: Full Time

General Summary

This position will act as a primary representative of McNaughton-McKay driving the business strategy to accelerate growth in the Smart Components businesses as an inside resource. These businesses include industrial components, motor control, sensors, safety, condition monitoring, controllers, distributed I/O and networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serves as inside technical resource around Connected Components business and continuously builds competency.
  • Demonstrates the ability to describe and apply the fundamentals of industrial components, motor control, sensors, safety, condition monitoring, and machine-level controls / architectures (controllers, distributed I/O and networks) in manufacturing environments.
  • Assists the domain experts in developing the Business Plan for products including identifying key accounts, market/account strategy, stocking requirements and support issues.
  • Provides post-sale support to the sales team and customers.
  • Provides pre-sale support with product conversions.
  • Motivates, supports and leads inside and outside sales representatives to proactively implement the business plan.
  • Identifies and demonstrates technology solutions for customer applications.
  • Educates the entire sales team (Inside and Outside) on all smart component products.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Bachelor‘s degree required in Engineering; (work experience considered in lieu of education).
  • Knowledge of and experience with Industrial Controls, Sensors, and Safety.
  • Ability to determine customer needs and to follow through on commitments.
  • Ability to build good relationships with customers and venders of assigned technologies.
  • Proven analytic, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to attack competition and grow market penetration.
