Description
The Compliance Manager is responsible for ownership of Harmonic Drive's contracting from intake to signature. Leading complex negotiations, driving faster cycle times, managing risk and shaping the legal framework that supports our company's quality standards and growth.
Requirements
Essential Functions

  • Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements in order to prevent legal risks.
  • Develop and enforce internal policies and corporate values.
  • Review customer, supplier, and employment contracts as well as customs and export-control matters for compliance with legal and internal requirements.
  • Develop and implement compliance tools and compliance management systems.
  • Conduct internal compliance audits.
  • Prevent violations relating to data protection, corruption, corporate espionage, and other unethical conduct.
  • Organize and/or deliver compliance training.
  • Report to executive management.

Required Competencies
  • Sound knowledge of relevant industry laws and regulations (e.g., commercial and business law, customs law) and standards (DIN, ISO, etc.).
  • Strong IT skills, especially MS Office and databases.
  • Fluent business English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Confidence, assertiveness, and strong conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High resilience and ability to perform under pressure.
