Job description


The Senior Compliance Specialist supports the Integrity and Compliance Office's elements, initiatives, and goals. The Senior Compliance Specialist will understand the full Compliance spectrum and key elements. The Senior Compliance Specialist may assist in training activities, investigations, and auditing and monitoring. The Senior Compliance Specialist will assist in effective communication with both patients and internal staff through various mediums (phone, email, and written letter correspondence). The senior specialist will assist Compliance Analysts and Officers in execution of various projects and initiatives. The senior specialist will partner with Compliance colleagues on additional projects and initiatives as assigned. The Senior Compliance Specialist will provide guidance and support to the Compliance Specialists. The senior specialist may take the lead on partnerships with internal supporting services such as Information Technology and lead the testing of new technological solutions.

This position is  hybrid, individual must live within 100 miles driving distance to a Mayo Clinic campus

An associate's degree in business, management, or healthcare administration field and Eight years of experience working in a regulated environment OR a High School diploma or GED and Ten years' experience. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Possesses strong organizational and clerical skills and can maintain confidentiality. Must be capable of producing accurate results under time constraints and performing in a fast-paced and changing environment. Must possess good communication skills and be able to work closely with others. Both written and verbal communication skills are a must. Must be willing to take on new challenges and be willing to ask for help or clarification when needed. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize work is necessary as the Senior Compliance Specialist manages their workload. Must be able to act as liaison between Compliance and other internal functions such as IT, Legal, and others as necessary. Must be willing to coach and lead the Compliance Specialist role.
