Complex Claims Director - Management Liability

How you will create an impact

An employee in this role will be responsible for handling all aspects of complex directors & officers claims, including securities class actions, with opportunity to handle high exposure employment practices liability and fiduciary liability matters, from inception through conclusion brought against publicly traded, privately held and not-for-profit insureds.In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Making coverage determinations
  • Investigating losses, evaluating, and projecting potential exposures
  • Making case presentations
  • Setting judgmental reserves, developing, and implementing resolution strategies
  • Working with defense counsel and collaborating with underwriting
  • Delivering differentiated value and service to our customers and distribution partners.

What you will need to succeed

  • Minimum of six years of experience handling complex insurance claims, litigation or other related experience
  • Ideally experienced in Management Liability claims
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the litigation and arbitration process
  • A Juris Doctor is preferred

For positions based in New York, the base salary range is $120,000-$150,000. For positions based in New Jersey, the base salary range is $120,000-$150,000. For positions based in Illinois, the base salary range is $120,000-$150,000. Compensation for this position includes base salary and eligibility for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
