Litigation Associate Attorney – Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco

Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate to join an Am Law 100 firm with a nationally recognized litigation practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile matters across multiple industries while collaborating with an accomplished team of trial lawyers.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle a wide range of complex litigation matters, including pretrial, discovery, trial, and appellate work

  • Conduct legal research, draft briefs, manage document production, and oversee discovery processes

  • Act as a key team contributor, supporting the growth of the practice through client development initiatives such as article contributions and speaking engagements

  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to address business-driven legal challenges

  • Work from the office approximately 60% of the time, in line with firm policy

Qualifications:
  • J.D. or LL.M. from an ABA-accredited law school

  • Licensed (or eligible for admission) in California

  • 3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm setting

  • Judicial clerkship experience preferred

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
