Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The primary responsibility of the grader clean-up laborer is the orderly, smooth, and efficient cleaning and sanitizing all grader and production areas according to Rose Acre and USDA standards. The grader clean-up crew may be asked to clean other areas at the discretion of the complex manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Clean the Grader Machine and related components.
  • Clean the Egg Candling Area.
  • Clean the scales, re-wash belt, floors, pans and buckets, etc.
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Must be able to work evening or 2nd shift hours.
  • Must be in good physical health, as working conditions require constant movement, bending, turning, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
  • Capable of working weekend shifts and maintaining a flexible schedule to help the other departments when needed. Capable of working late (if needed) past the scheduled leave time to complete the job.
  • Possess excellent teamwork skills.
  • Willing to comply with all Rose Acre's employment policies, including working in a 100% smoke-free environment.
  • Ability to comply with the strictest standards for animal welfare and to report incidents of abuse, neglect, or breach of bio-security in order to preserve the health and welfare of our birds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Must possess the ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas each varying in temperature, and other environment specific atmospheres.
  • Must be willing and able to work past the scheduled leave time to complete the job, if needed.
  • Must possess the ability to work in an open office setting.
  • Must maintain professionalism with coworkers.
