Job description

Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as Engineer of Record for large, complex environmental remediation projects.
  • Lead remedial design implementation through construction completion.
  • Provide technical oversight of multidisciplinary engineering and specialty subcontractor teams.
  • Coordinate with EPA, state regulatory agencies, clients, and project stakeholders.
  • Review and approve engineering deliverables, work plans, technical specifications, and construction documents.
  • Support construction activities including demolition, excavation, in-situ remediation, contaminated materials management, groundwater management, and site restoration.
  • Mentor engineering staff while ensuring technical quality and regulatory compliance throughout project execution.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in good standing. Other SE states a benefit.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of environmental engineering / remediation experience.
  • Experience serving as Engineer of Record or lead design engineer for complex environmental remediation projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing specialty subcontractors or consultants.
  • Strong experience with environmental construction, remedial design, and construction oversight.

Highly Desired Experience
Candidates with demonstrated experience in the following areas are strongly preferred:
  • EPA CERCLA Remedial Design (RD) and Remedial Action (RA)
  • Superfund and National Priorities List (NPL) projects
  • Large-scale contaminated soil and groundwater remediation
  • In-Situ Stabilization/Solidification (ISS) or Deep Soil Mixing
  • Demolition and Environmental Construction
  • Environmental permitting and regulatory coordination
  • Preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and construction quality documentation
